This is what we try to prevent
Tree roots are poison in any sewer system but fortunately if you act quick you can maintain them for years if it’s not to late. Make sure you clean you line before this happens to you. Read below.
There are several sewer lines in the world we can help and prevent excavation but sooner or later something will go wrong. No one wants to spend money to repair their broken collapsed sewer line but you have no choice at that time. I wish we could predict when it will happen but we can’t. Customers much appropriate when our drain technicians open their sewer system cause then they know that digging is not needed “yet”. Excavating a section of pipe isn’t cheap by any means so try and plan and keep current on the condition of your sewer line yearly.
Call us today for annual main sewer line cleaning and see where your sewer lie falls on a scale 1-10.
The picture above shows the red arrow pointing at the a clump of thick tree roots that broken through the sewer pipe. When I drain technician suggests camera inspecting your sewer line there’s a reason for it. If your smart next time you have your sewer line cleaned get it video taped and see what condition your line is in. If you are lucky enough o have a good sewer line we suggest getting it televised every 3-4 years after to make sure it’s in tact. Think of it as an x-ray that dentist use to view the condition of your mouth.
Also, if your uncertain that the technician or company is leading you in the wrong direction ask your family and friends who’ve they have used in the past. make sure they were confident in there work and give them a call. You don’t always have to make decisions quick. Take time and do your due diligence.
When is the proper time to dig your sewer line?
This past month we have gotten three calls all inquiring bids on digging parts of their sewer line. When we receive calls like this we always suggest getting them a 2nd opinion. Each and every drain cleaner out there has their own techniques. Don’t dig until you 100% sure you have to.
Sewer lines don’t get better over time they age just like us. If a tree root has broken through the pipe eventually if not maintained yearly will break the pipe. Excavating sewer lines isn’t bad but does cost some money. Without a working sewer line you can’t live properly in your home.
Ken’s Sewer Service cleans, camera inspects and excavates sewer lines each and every week.
The Guys Garage
The garage is suppose to be a space for a guy to be able to get away from everything and relax. Weather it’s working on your car or any other project. The term I’ve heard for these rooms are called the “Man Cave”. Weather your man cave is the garage an office or a room in the basement all that matters is that space is entirely 100% your own.
Being in the plumbing and drain cleaning business for so long I’ve seen some pretty awesome garage layouts. I’ve always been one to park in my garage and use it for storage but some people have other ideas. I’ve never seen this garage but a friend of mine brought it to my attention.

The luxury life of a plumber
Help make your plumbing job easier and faster!
Everyone is familiar with the job and duties of a plumber. A plumber is the guy who stops leaks and installs all plumbing fixtures. Plumbers also have the knowledge to unclog any drain. People know that plumbers tend to work in dark, crowded, cluttered, tight areas. It’s not easy fitting in some spaces but we figure out a way to get the job done.
One easy way to make a plumber smile is to make sure the cabinet under your kitchen sink is friendly. Look at the pictures above, the top picture is what plumbers like to see. Plumbing in general under a kitchen sink can be confusing and isn’t always easy to deal with. Next time your going to install a kitchen cabinet for the sink make sure that wood board that runs down the middle isn’t there. Have them install it on one of the doors so when anyone is working under the sink it give them more room. By making this easier and more accessible it will first of all make the job easier and second get the job done faster which means less spend out of your pocket book.
Think about these questions?
At lunch the other day a friend of mine showed me a list of interesting questions. I felt like sharing a couple.
Enjoy!
How does the guy who drives the snowplow get to work?
If the 7-11 is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, why does it have locks on the door?
You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why don’t they make the whole plane out of it?
Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?
Why does the sun lighten our hair, but darken our skin?
Why is it that rain drops but snow falls?
Why is it that when you’re driving and looking for an address, you turn down the volume on the radio?
Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor and dishwashing liquid is made with real lemons?
Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?
Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?
What’s growing in your sewer system?
You never know what’s inside your sewer line until you clean and camera your line.

Sewer rooting is the service of removing roots from your sewer line or floor drain. Roots tend to grow anywhere and everywhere. There is no stopping root growth. The only way to keep roots from getting into your sewer line is to excavate. 90% of the time that’s not needed and very pricey. Once tree roots enter your sewer line there is no getting rid of them. Tree roots grow and grow. By cleaning your sewer line annually you will slow down the process of roots growth from spreading. Most our clients have never had to dig/excavate if they maintain cleaning on their sewer line.
Never dig unless you get two opinions. Remember the service of excavating your yard is not cheap. Don’t just let any company talk you into digging unless they can 100% prove your line needs it.
