Isn’t it a pain when a urinal gets clogged up
One of the dirtiest jobs in plumbing. Can you imagine cleaning a urinal in a commercial building that everyone uses.
When tackling cleaning and unclogging a urinal there are sometimes multiple way to perform this type of work. No matter how you clean a urinal it’s going to be a very dirty smelly drain cleaning job. Urinals are just like toilets, very breakable and must be handled with care from whomever is working on them. Once you get the urinal removed from the wall it sits on make sure to place down carefully. With the urinal removed from the wall you now have access to the drain itself. We’ve unclogged urinals in the first 5ft and sometimes we’ve had to run cables over 50ft cause the plumbing didn’t tie in for a while. Worst case scenario is hat you have to bring a jetter to open and remove hard built up calcium within the drain line.

Emergency Water Leak
By the look for things you can tell this isn’t normal or maybe even suppose to happen. But guess again this happens each and everyday. It’s a nightmare if your plumbing isn’t updated or if you don’t have the proper shut off’s.
This issue could have been solved easily if they had a shut off that worked but instead they had to call the city at night for an emergency to shut the water off. It’s never fun to have a shower coming into your house other then through your bathtub shower head. The force of that water coming through the pipe was stronger then what comes through your shower head.
be careful and be on top of as much plumbing as you can in your home. Some things you can’t help but old neglected drains and pipes is something you should consider addressing before it’s too late.
This is what we try to prevent
Tree roots are poison in any sewer system but fortunately if you act quick you can maintain them for years if it’s not to late. Make sure you clean you line before this happens to you. Read below.

Snow Days for Plumbing Companies
Plumbing & drain cleaning is a very interesting field with all the different problems we come across each and every day. Clients ask us if were busier more at one time of the year then others. I think the answer is no, except for very cold winters like this one (2014). This has been an unusual winter being how cold it has been for long periods of time. Any building weather commercial, residential or industrial gets frozen pipes without knowing. It’s to hard to plan for when you might get a frozen pipe. All you can do it once you know you have one address the situation and call a local plumber you might know. The earlier you address the problem the easier it will be to repairs and get your drain flowing again. Same goes for if your water lines are frozen contact a plumber asap cause if the pipes bust you’ll have a bigger mess at hand.
Snow days for plumbing companies can be very hard and frustrating. This goes for any service company that has to come to your house to address the situation. From not having clients shoveled out and tracking through snow to having the roads move like a parking lot (which isn’t fast). Please consider when weather hits us with bad with especially snow to have your driveways and sidewalks cleared so our technicians don’t trip and injury themselves. Remember, your calling us to help you with a problem your having. Were not the bad guys, but only your rescuer.
Thanks again to all our clients that stick with us through good and bad weather.
1 Dollar 2 Dollar 3…
The start of a faucet dripping is the time to contact a plumber. We have to many calls each day with clients that say they have had a dripping or running water for weeks if not months. Last week we had a client with a water bill OVER $1,000 cause of unnecessary running water. Plumbers are in busy to help and fix problems before they worsen like this one. Ken’s Sewer Service is here to help you and get your water leak stopped and to make sure your water bills stay normal.
Toilets are another source of easily losing water and a fast rate without knowing. Any parts these days don’t last forever and should be replaced periodically. Toilets get used several times a day and the parts inside get worn out from time to time. If your smart and proactive you’ll get parts on your toilet replaced before an issue comes about. If our company (Ken’s Sewer Service) can’t service you that day you have an issue you’ll easily spend (3) three times our price. Our rates are fair and other plumbing companies aren’t. We get calls everyday from new clients saying who they’ve used before and their prices were “highway robbery”. Our prices are fair for anyone’s budget. We are lower then our competition and we know it. Remember, most important high a company that has a good reputation.
Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow money is hard to make and is hard earned. Don’t waste it being silly not fixing a water leak. Water leaks add up and they add up fast.

Plumbing Commercial Mop Sinks
Commercial drains tend to get back up and plugged often cause of foreign debris that goes down the drain. Not everything can be expected to get down the drain and not clog up.
This is a commercial mop sink or also called slop sinks. Reason for the slop is because of how it it sounds, it’s messy and very dirty and sloppy. Think of cleaning a commercial store and dumping out anything and everything that gets into the bucket. We have found some interested objects in these lines. Mop sinks are typically only in commercial store settings. When the floor is cleaned everything is dumped down this drain. Being a drain cleaner is a very pleasing job being that we help customers all day long. When someone calls a plumber and drain cleaner to come unclog or unplug their drain, when they see it opening up and draining they get so happy. It’s also refreshing to know that were helping out individuals getting them back up and working.
Plumbing and drain cleaning service calls come in 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Our job is communicate correctly the issue at hand. 90% of the time we can determine over the phone how severe the plumbing problem is. Most the time once we calm down the client over the phone everything flows wonderful from there. We’re very good at talking about the problem cause we’ve seen so much each and every day. Being around since 1974 is a long time.
Leave plumbing to the pros especially if their are dangerous chemicals and smells involved.
Leave It To The Pros
Almost each and every house, commercial facility that has a working sewer system has roots somewhere in their line. If they don’t consider them lucky and one of the few.
Tree roots that intrude sewer line is no joke and can be quite serious some day. Maybe tomorrow and maybe 10 years from now but addressing the issue and understanding how to proceed is very crucial and can save you thousands of dollars. Cleaning a sewer system yearly or more is the way to treat the issue at hand until it can’t be cleaned or opened. Think of it as going in for an oil change or a cleaning at the dentist. Property owners that don’t address their sewer line with a professional company will end up with a much higher expense. Cleaning your sewer line each year might cost you anywhere from $175-$375 depending on how long your line is and how often it has been cleaning professionally in the past. Remember, not everyone that cleans sewer lines cleans them properly. Next time your sewer line backs up get a referral from a family member of friend. Also, there are websites like Yelp and Angie’s List that are very good resources.
When people think of drain cleaning they think icky dirty gross work and it is but don’t for one second think it’s easy work. Drain and sewer cleanings work very hard to open and clear lines. Sometimes drain lines may take additional time depending on their condition. No two sewer lines are the same, they all shift and collapse differently and in their own way.
Ken’s Sewer Service has helped thousands of customers save money by cleaning their lines to prevent excavations. Most the time we can clean yearly but if you wait you will have issues that you don’t want.
Main sewer line cleaning is a specialty job and you shouldn’t do it yourself and you also shouldn’t hire someone just cause the price is cheaper. Ask family members and friends who’ve they used in the past and make sure you do your due diligence before moving forward. It may seem like an emergency which it is but sometimes just calling the professionals can calm you down even before coming out.
It’s our goal to help and address your situation the right way from the start.
Main sewer line cleaning and any drain cleaning, “leave it to the pros.”
