Massive Tree Roots

roots

From time to time to catch a great view of what tree roots look like in a sewer line. As you can tell in the picture above these tree roots fully took over the sewer line. When this happens the only way to remove them is to excavate which isn’t a cheap process. It takes a team of good technicians and expensive equipment to solve these types of problems. Once we remove the tree roots depending on how much work needs to be done with the sewer line to get it up to par and functioning properly we recommend cleaning your sewer line yearly.

If you see this image please pass along to a friend so they have the chance to clean and camera inspect their sewer line before they get into this problem.

Tree roots aren’t your friend and they only can harm you’re sewer line.

When is the proper time to dig your sewer line?

This past month we have gotten three calls all inquiring bids on digging parts of their sewer line. When we receive calls like this we always suggest getting them a 2nd opinion. Each and every drain cleaner out there has their own techniques. Don’t dig until you 100% sure you have to.

Sewer lines don’t get better over time they age just like us. If a tree root has broken through the pipe eventually if not maintained yearly will break the pipe. Excavating sewer lines isn’t bad but does cost some money. Without a working sewer line you can’t live properly in your home.

Ken’s Sewer Service cleans, camera inspects and excavates sewer lines each and every week.

How to remove tree roots from your sewer system

We all know that trees grow roots and sometime they can get in the way of our sewer system, which ultimately can cause major headaches. Tree roots are nasty and the longer they sit in ones line the longer it takes to remove them. Major sewer root problems call for a camera inspection along side the cleaning process. Getting every strand of root is not the goal, but getting the problem areas are. Sewer lines are put together in sections which means that in every joint you can have root intrusion.
Don’t panic next time your sewer line backs up. Call the professionals ASAP and have the job done right. Drain cleaning needs to be done properly and with the right machinery. Our company see’s homeowners open up their own sewer lines with wimpy cables and blades. The rental machines don’t compare to what the professionals use. Time after time we have pulled out cables that homeowners have lost in their own sewer lines. Just like any other profession drain cleaning needs to be done the right way or major excavation costs will hit you unexpectedly.
Ken’s Sewer Service is here for your help.
Root intrusion only get worse, not better.

Does your sewer line give you problems?

Each and every day we get calls from clients that have a clogged or plugged sewer line. Most of the time it’s tree roots that keep coming back. Once our company cleans your sewer line property we suggest having preventative maintenance on your line annually. If a severe issue arises our company as well can preform video camera sewer line inspection. Our clients that have their sewer line professional cleaned are far happier then those clients who choose to wait. Cleaning your sewer drain before a back-up occurs will also save on your pocket book.

Having your sewer line cleaned yearly will slow down root growth from breaking your pipe apart even further. Scale is another source of debris that develops throughout the entire year in your sewer line. When scale has a chance to harden it will also take time to smooth down the inside of your pipe. The only way to get rid of roots is by excavation but most people don’t want to spend the thousands of dollars until they truly need to.

Tree Roots in my sewer?

Broken Sewer Line

Tree Roots grow all throughout the ground. Once a sewer line gets installed the roots start to move closer and closer cause they need water to grow. Just so were clear roots also go when were in droughts. Tree roots are bad to have but don’t feel alone cause everyone has them one way or another. Stop waiting until a sewage back-up to get your drain lines cleaned. Drain lines should be treated just like going to a yearly doctor and dentist appointment. People that wait from going to the dentist find out they have cavities. Which all in all cost more to repair. Same with going to the doctor, they have to check us out or they may be something we don’t feel or see that is hurting us inside. Call Ken’s Sewer Service today and get set up on a maintenance program for your sewer line and let’s slow up the growth of tree roots.
